SAN REMIGIO, Antique — The Philippine Statistics Authority – Antique Provincial Statistical Office went to the remote barangays of San Remigio, Antique and conducted “Rehistro Bulilit” National ID registration from 07 to 12 July. This initiative aims to increase the registration turnout of children aged one to four years old.

A total of 167 children ages 0-4 years old were registered in the National ID system; 63 children were registered in Brgy. Walker, 24 registrants from Brgy. Insubuan, 24 were from Brgy. Panpanan II, and 56 children were registered in Brgy. Panpanan I.
The registration teams visited the following barangays and sitios which took about 18 cumulative hours of walking through muddy and steep terrains to reach:
• July 07 – Walker (Sitio Libudon)
• July 08 – Insubuan
• July 09 – Panpanan II
• July 10–11 – Panpanan I
• July 12 – Walker (Proper)
Furthermore, the importance of registering in the National ID system was presented in the registration sites with the residents, barangay officials, parents and registering children as audience. During the discussion, it was reiterated that all three forms of the National ID—paper-printed or the ePhilID, the PVC card, and the digital ID— are valid and sufficient proof of identity in financial transactions and that the National ID are being prioritized and included in the list of acceptable valid IDs by financial institution and across all of their branches.
