The Philippine Statistics Authority in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) of Antique aims to accelerate the registration procedures for Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries during 4Ps Family Development Sessions (FDS). The PSA National ID registration team will ensure that all 4Ps beneficiaries are registered and is properly verified and authenticated using the National ID database.

In a recent meeting held between the DSWD and PSA, both agencies agreed to streamline the process of verifying the identity and eligibility of 4Ps recipients. The partnership will involve the use of the PSA’s database, which includes the National ID System (NIS) data, to cross-check and validate the personal details of beneficiaries.

On 28 January 2025, the registration teams of Antique started authenticating 4Ps beneficiaries in the Municipality of Culasi. The PSA Antique Registration Teams will assist the DSWD to significantly improve the implementation and monitoring of the 4Ps program, benefiting millions of Filipinos who rely on it for their livelihoods.

Authentication is the process of verifying the identity of an individual against the registry information in the National ID. The system can uniquely identify each registered person at a national scale with high-level of assurance, eliminate identity fraud and strengthen integrity of functional identification registries. It is envisioned to reduce if not eliminate government aids wastage while reducing inefficiencies in government services and enhancing financial inclusion, social protection, and public service delivery.

For the FDS colocation activity, the registration personnel perform biometric authentication using any of the registered beneficiaries' fingerprints.
