Dr. Randy M. Tacogdoy, Chief Statistical Specialist of PSA Antique, welcomed participants from the Local Government Unit (LGU) to the highly anticipated presentation of the preliminary results. Dr. Tacogdoy emphasized the significance of the unwavering support and participation of the Municipal LGU in the successful execution of the 2024 Census of Population (POPCEN) and CBMS.

EnP. Jeffrey G. Conlu, emphasizes the pivotal role of the CBMS in localizing the country’s SDGs.

EnP Jeffrey G. Conlu, Senior Statistical Specialist and CBMS Focal Person of PSA Antique, presented the preliminary results. EnP Conlu provided valuable insights into the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) indicators that can be derived from CBMS data. 

These indicators encompass critical information such as access to electricity, internet, clean fuels, basic sanitation services, basic drinking water services, and secure tenure among others.

Map visualizations were also presented specifically on the number of senior citizens living alone, Persons-with-Disability (PWD) living alone, and the locations of evacuation centers. Barangay profile data on garbage collection, network signal availability, and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) related information was highlighted.

EnP. Beberly A. Española, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator of MLGU Belison, expressed the sincere gratitude of LGU belison to the PSA for its invaluable contributions. The municipality acknowledges the significant impact that CBMS data can have on its local planning and policy-making endeavors.
