BARBAZA, AntiqueThe Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Antique Provincial Statistical Office presents the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) preliminary results to the Municipal Local Government Unit of Barbaza on 11 July 2025.

LGU Barbaza officials, department heads, and representatives from different NGAs attended the presentation of the 2024 CBMS preliminary results.

Dr. Randy M. Tacogdoy, Chief Statistical Specialist of PSA Antique, extended the agency’s gratitude for the continued support and assistance provided by LGU Barbaza to PSA. Dr. Tacogdoy underscored the pivotal role of the LGU in identifying programs and projects that are underpinned by evidence through the CBMS data.

Engr. Timothy A. Sumulat shares the important use of the CBMS data in local-level planning and policy making.

EnP Jeffrey G. Conlu, Senior Statistical Specialist and CBMS Provincial Focal Person, presented the preliminary results. EnP Conlu provided detailed data for the highlighted sectors per barangay. The CBMS results were presented based on indicators identified in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), localizing its monitoring at the municipal and barangay levels.

On behalf of Honorable Roberto C. Necor, Municipal Mayor of Barbaza, Engr. Timothy A. Sumulat, Municipal Engineer and OIC-Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator, expressed the local government unit’s anticipation of the CBMS results. The results will serve as a crucial input in the updating of their Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) and other local development plans. 

PSA Antique will facilitate the presentation of preliminary results to each Local Government Unit (LGU) throughout July 2025.
