The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Iloilo awarded Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Data to the municipalities of San Enrique and Alimodian on 17th May and 23rd May, respectively, this year. The Data Turnover Ceremony (DTC) for the Local Government Unit (LGU) of San Enrique was held at their Municipal Culture, History, Arts, and Tourism Office Function Hall while the LGU of Alimodian held their DTC in Diversion 21 Hotel, Iloilo City. Both local government units joined the 2023 CBMS roll-out.
The DTC symbolizes the sharing of important information and dissemination of significant results drawn from the CBMS data. It represents the PSA’s commitment to collaborate with the LGU; ensuring that the planning, policy making, and impact monitoring will be effectively guided by the data collected and processed, while maintaining a strict commitment to data security.
The turnover ceremony of LGU San Enrique was led by the Office-in-Charge, Nelida Amolar, from the PSA Regional Statistical Services Offices (RSSO) VI. The data was received by Sangguniang Bayan Member, Susan Villalobos, on behalf of Municipal Mayor Rosario Mediatrix Fernandez. Additionally, OIC Amolar led the awarding for LGU Alimodian, during which the data was acknowledged by Municipal Mayor Ian Kenneth Alfeche. Both evernts were attended by CBMS Coordinating Board Members, Sangguniang Bayan Members, and Department Heads in their respective municipalities, along with the PSA Iloilo CBMS personnel.
Results from the Household and Barangay Profile Questionnaire such as data on electricity, internet, water, toilet facilities, safety, food insecurity, and disaster preparedness were presented during the awardings.
