21 April 2025– Guimaras. The Philippine Statistics Authority–Guimaras Provincial Statistical Office (PSA-Guimaras) exceeded its National ID registration target for the first quarter of 2025, achieving a total of 2,653 registrations, surpassing its target of 1,830 by 45%.
“This milestone reflects the agency’s continued efforts to bring PhilSys services closer to Guimarasnons through targeted outreach, partnerships, and innovative strategies,” Provincial Statistics Officer Nelida B. Losare said.
“Among the Q1 registrants were 860 children aged 0–4 years old, this was part of the Rehistro Bulilit campaign, and 28 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs),” Losare added.
Across municipalities, Jordan led with 1,212 registrants, followed by Buenavista with 821, Nueva Valencia with 359, and San Lorenzo with 261 registrants.
Losare further highlighted that another significant event conducted in Q1 2025 was the first-ever National ID Information Dissemination Caravan in Guimaras.
The initiative kicked off with a motorcade and PhilSys on Wheels registration at Jordan Wharf, followed by courtesy visits to key agencies and institutions including the Guimaras Island Transport Multipurpose Cooperative (GITMC), Municipal Hall/Offices of Jordan, Guimaras State University (GSU), and provincial offices of DTI, DOLE, and DepEd and proceeded to LGU Nueva Valencia for the mobile registration.
The information drive ended in a well-attended program at Nueva Valencia Municipal Plaza, where PSO Nelida B. Losare gave a short talk explaining the three types of National ID—the PVC PhilID, ePhilID, and Digital PhilID—and emphasized their uses in both government and private transactions. She also acknowledged the support of the MSWDO, MCRs, Local Chief Executives, and the Guimarasnons for their continued support not limited to PhilSys alone but to all the projects implemented by PSA.
In the open forum, PhilSys personnel addressed frequently asked questions on the validity of ePhilIDs and procedures for updating civil registry information.
“The event fruitfully registered 59 individuals, authenticated 88 4Ps beneficiaries, and assisted 11 individuals in generating their Digital National ID,” Losare said.
Losare also expounded that the pioneering information campaign aims to improve public understanding of the National ID system and to reinforce PSA-Guimaras’ commitment toward inclusive service delivery.
“With its outstanding first-quarter performance and the success of its first National ID information dissemination event, PSA-Guimaras sets a strong precedent for the rest of the year, promoting an efficient, inclusive, and trusted PhilSys,” Losare said.
