LAUA-AN, Antique—The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) conducts the LGU-level orientation on the Barangay Profile Questionnaire (BPQ) and Service Facility and Government Projects (SFGP) Listing on 23 May.

One of the goals of the orientation is to provide assistance to the Barangay Local Government Units on the proper accomplishment of the BPQ and SFGP Forms which is essential in updating the general information and characteristics of the barangays.

Mayor Aser S. Baladjay encouraged the Barangay LGUs to provide proper and accurate information to the PSA as it will be helpful in the succeeding planning activities that the barangays will undertake.

It was further highlighted that the participation of the municipal and barangay officials in the data collection activities of the 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System (POPCEN-CBMS) will provide a better view of the developments and priority needs of the barangays.

The collected data on barangay profiles shall be used to update the urban-rural classification of barangays. Meanwhile, the listing of service facilities and government projects shall serve as a reference file in the conduct of the geotagging of service facilities and government projects for the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS.
