Tibiao, Antique – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Antique, represented by Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Randy M. Tacogdoy, Registration Officer (RO) II Maria Leni Taladocon, Birth Registration Coordinator (BRC) Ember Grace F. Dioso, and Assistant Birth Registration Coordinator (ABRC) Bryan Noel V. Marzoña, attended the monthly meeting of the Association of Municipal Civil Registrars in Antique (AMCRA) on 05 September at Campolly Highland Resort in Tuno, Tibiao. 

The meeting focused on addressing pressing civil registration concerns, reviewing recent and future activities of the Municipal Civil Registrars (MCRs), and providing updates on the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP). 

One of the key topics discussed during the meeting was the procedural changes introduced for handling regular out-of-town birth registrations, along with specific updates on the registration process for individuals aged 80 years and above. RO II Taladocon provided detailed guidance on the revised requirements and processes aimed at improving efficiency and accuracy in handling these cases.

Moreover, BRC Dioso outlined the basic requirements under the BRAP, including the submission of narrative reports and the status of the Revised Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).

She emphasized the revised guidelines for processing electronic endorsements, ensuring that all MCRs were well-informed of the latest procedural changes to enhance efficiency in their operations. BRAP Coordinators also distributed out-of-town documents during the meeting.

Following the BRAP updates, the meeting shifted focus to concerns regarding additional requirements for regular late registrations. CSS Tacogdoy addressed queries from the MCRs, providing valuable insights and clarifications to resolve their concerns.

The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to maintaining updated civil registration procedures, emphasizing the importance of cooperation among MCRs and PSA representatives. By staying informed and working together, the group aims to continue improving the accuracy and efficiency of civil registration services across Antique.
