SAN JOSE, Antique—The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) conducts the LGU-level orientation on the accomplishment of the Barangay Profile Questionnaire (BPQ) and Service Facility and Government Projects (SFGP) Listing in Hamtic and Barbaza on 24 May 2024.

Highlighted in the activity was the importance of the participation of the barangay officials in the data collection activities of the 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System (POPCEN-CBMS). Their critical participation will provide a better perspective of the barangays.

One of the goals of the orientation is to provide assistance to the Barangay Local Government Units on the proper accomplishment of the BPQ and SFGP Forms which will be essential in updating the general information and characteristics of the barangays.The collected data on barangay profiles shall be used to update the urban-rural classification of barangays. Meanwhile, the listing of service facilities and government projects shall serve as a reference file in the conduct of the geotagging of service facilities and government projects for the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS.
