SAN JOSE, Antique—The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) convened the Municipal Community-Based Monitoring System Coordinating Board (MCCB) of Libertad and Pandan on 03 June 2024 in preparation for the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS.

The second convening discussed further information regarding the Census of Population (POPCEN), including updating the inventory of the total population in the Philippines and updating the social registries of the government, among others.
The POPCEN will be conducted simultaneously with the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) wherein the generation of data at the local level is aimed to serve as a basis for targeting beneficiaries of government programs geared towards poverty alleviation and economic development.

Te of Libertad expressed her full support for the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS Household Data Collection and Geotagging for their relevance in the pursuit of updating general and sectoral information of the municipality beneficial in planning and investment programming activities that are data-driven and evidence-based.

The 2024 POPCEN-CBMS will also enable the LGUs to capture several factors that can be used for multi-dimensional poverty analysis, policy formulation, and economic development in cities and municipalities
The 2024 POPCEN-CBMS will cover all barangays nationwide in every city and municipality with the enumeration to be conducted starting July 2024.
