SIBALOM, AntiqueThe Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) convened the Municipal Community-Based Monitoring System Coordinating Board (MCCB) of Sibalom on 05 June 2024 in preparation for the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS.

Member offices/agencies attend the Second MCCB Convening in Buruyluganay Hall, Sibalom, Antique

The second convening further highlighted the Census of Population (POPCEN), including the main objectives to update the inventory of the total population in the Philippines and update the social registries of the government.

The POPCEN will be conducted simultaneously with the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) wherein the generation of data at the local level will serve as a basis for targeting beneficiaries of government programs specifically of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DWSD).

Furthermore, the results of the POPCEN-CBMS will enable the LGUs to capture factors that can be used for multi-dimensional poverty analysis, policy formulation, and economic development in cities and municipalities.

The enumeration period is from 15 July 2024 until 16 September 2024.
