The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) will facilitate the conduct of the 2024 Census of Population and Community-based Monitoring System (POPCEN-CBMS)in July 2024. These statistical activities are based on Republic Act No. 10625, the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013, and RA No. 11315, or the CBMS Act of 2019.
In connection with this, PSA Antique conducted a six-day Provincial Level Training (PLT) on the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS Household Data Collection and Geotagging from 17 to 22 June 2024 at Adelaide Tourists and Travellers Inn, San Jose, Antique.
The training was participated by 20 hired Census-CBMS Area Supervisors(CAS)and regular PSA personnel as Head CAS. The participants will serve as trainers in the different municipalities for the Municipal Level Training (MLT) to be held in two batches on 01 to 06 July and 08 -13 July, respectively.
Through this simultaneous undertaking, the PSA will be able to adhere to its mandate in updating the mid-decade inventory of the population of the entire Philippines while ensuring the updating of social registries of national government agencies and local government units (LGUs) for evidence-basedproject development and program implementation.
The PLT is one of the most important activities of the 2024 POPCEN-CBMSoperations. The training provided each personnel with the necessary skills and knowledge relating to the concepts and processes to be implemented in thefield.
