CSS Randy M. Tacogdoy supervises LFS-FIES enumerators at Poblacion, Sebaste, Antique.

The Philippine Statistics Authority – Antique Provincial Statistical Office is currently conducting the the July 2025 Labor Force Survey (LFS) and 2025 Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES) Visit I from 08 to 30 July.

To carry out the field operations, 50 Statistical Researchers and 6 Team Supervisors have been hired and deployed across the province after a seven-day training.

The LFS gathers data on the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the household. The LFS is the major source of data for labor force, employment, unemployment and underemployment. The LFS aims to provide a quantitative framework for the preparation of plans and formulation of policies affecting the labor market.

The 2025 FIES is a rider survey to the July 2025 and January 2026 rounds of the LFS. The FIES, conducted in two visits, is the country’s main source of data on family income, sources of income, family expenditure including cost and consumption volume. These data are used in determining the income distribution, levels of living, spending patterns, and the degree of income inequality among Filipino families.

Furthermore, the information gathered through the FIES serves as a critical input for the development of government policies and programs aimed at improving the socio-economic conditions of the Filipino people.
