08 February 2024 - Municipality of Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Negros Occidental together with the Local Government Unit of Moises Padilla joins in the Blessing of the Mayor's Satellite Office at Barangay Quintin Remo, Moises Padilla.
The barangay belongs to Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs) and is under the End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) program of the government. The conduct of the activity initiated by LGU of Moises Padilla aimed to extend their services to their constituents. This was participated by the different departments of the LGU, the Office of the Municipal Mayor, Office of the Sangguniang Panglunsod, Municipal Civil Registry Office (MCRO), Municipal Health Office (MHO), Municipal Agriculture (MA) Barangay Councils and PSA PhilSys and Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) Team.
The blessing of the satellite was taken over by Pastor Richie Mateo and followed by the Honorable Municipal Mayor, Ella Celestina D. Garcia-Yulo leading the activity and welcoming everyone with her warm messages. The Satellite Office aims to bring services closer to constituents and avail services such as free medicine, and medical and dental checkups with a medical doctor visiting at least twice a month.
PSA Statistical Analyst, Ligaya M. Gillesania was acknowledged by the Mayor and extended her appreciation for the support, dedication, and services offered by the office to their barangay.
PSA's Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) Agent Jesirie Marie B. Gedorio assisted in registering 198 subjects for verification of their birth certificate and 52 people who requested SECPA (security paper) copies of their birth certificates through Batch Request System (BREQS). Other services of PSA were offered such as the PhilSys Step 2 Registration, PhillD tracking, ePhillD issuance, and processing of requests for replacements. A total of 90 people were registered on the PhillD.
This joint campaign aimed to bring the services offered by the PSA closer to the people of Moises Padilla. This collaborative effort between PSA Negros Occidental, the Municipal Civil Registry Office, and the Local Government Unit of Moises Padilla is one of the myriads of proof that through sound collaboration and meaningful connections, better public service may be offered to the Filipino nation.
