SAN JOSE, Antique—The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) officially rolls out the 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System (POPCEN-CBMS) in the Province of Antique.

The 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System (POPCEN-CBMS) are statistical activities that is currently being implemented in every city and municipality. In Antique, enumeration activities commenced simultaneously from the municipality of Anini-y to the northernmost island municipality of Caluya.

This activity is crucial in ensuring evidence-based planning, formulation, and implementation of programs and projects targeted to the citizenry's needs. Moreover, the data generated from this undertaking would help improve the quality of life, especially for the vulnerable sectors of society.
The 2024 POPCEN-CBMS aims to update the population statistics at the local and national level; update social registries for beneficiary targeting; and aid in the city/municipal level evidenced-based planning and project implementation.
PSA Antique field personnel were deployed in the 18 municipalities of the province to cover all enumeration areas - aiming to get the full participation of all households. The enumeration activity runs from 15 July 2024 to 16 September 2024.
