PSA RSSO VI celebrates 45th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week with FPDAIC, Inc.

The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office VI (PSA RSSO VI), in line with upholding the "No One Left Behind" goal and showcasing unity and inclusive society, celebrated the 45th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week with the Federation of Persons with Disability Associations in Iloilo City (FPDAIC) Inc. through a team building activity held at Robinson’s Place Iloilo, Iloilo City. Various activities and games were conducted that were participated in by PSA employees and members of the FPDAIC Inc.

PSA RSSO VI conducts Consultative and Validation Forum of 2018 Benchmark Estimates of Western Visayas Tourism Satellite Accounts

The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office VI (PSA RSSO VI), in collaboration with the PSA Central Office (PSA CO), held the Consultative and Validation Forum of 2018 Benchmark Estimates of Subnational Tourism Satellite Accounts (TSA) of Western Visayas on 03 March 2023 at Citadines Amigo Iloilo, Iloilo City.

Livestock and Poultry Production in Western Visayas: First Quarter of 2023

Livestock production in Western Visayas for the first quarter of 2023 generally increased compared with the same quarter last year. Carabao production estimated at 3.89 thousand metric tons grew by 0.28 percent against last year’s production. Cattle production went up by 1.83 percent in the first quarter of 2022, at 4.70 thousand metric tons from 4.62 thousand metric tons. Estimated Hog production was recorded at 52.88 thousand metric tons, an increase of 7.80 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. Similarly, Goat production recorded a growth of 14.19 percent

PALAY PRODUCTION IN WESTERN VISAYAS FIRST QUARTER OF 2023

The total palay production of Western Visayas in the first quarter of 2023 was estimated at 667,020.89 metric tons (MT). It increased by 3.21 percent or 20,732.41 MT more compared with the same quarter of 2022. Likewise, the total area harvested in the first quarter of 2023, estimated at 202,370.00 hectares (ha) was 1.72 percent higher compared with the same quarter last year

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Region VI announces the conduct of the twentieth series of Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES), a rider survey to the July 2023 Labor Force Survey (LFS). The enumeration period in Western Visayas will start on 08 July 2023 up to 31 July 2023.
