22 April 2025 — Talisay City, Negros Occidental. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) successfully held its news conference on the 2024 Regional Accounts of the Philippines on April 22, 2025, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

The event highlighted the economic status of various regions through the official release of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), with a special focus on the performance of the Negros Island Region. The GRDP presentation provided key insights into the region’s economic trends, contributing to a better understanding of local growth and development.

A significant portion of the program was dedicated to recognizing the vital contributions of business establishments that support the PSA’s data collection efforts. Among the awardees were San Miguel Brewery Inc. and Lopez Sugar Corporation, both honored for their outstanding cooperation in the Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries (MISSI) and the Producer Price Survey (PPS).

Human Resource Manager of San Miguel Brewery Inc. Dindo T. Macayan, and Accounting Department Head of Lopez Sugar Corporation Ronel Solis were presented with plaques and tokens of appreciation as a testament to their active participation and commitment to providing reliable and timely data. Their support has been instrumental in enhancing the quality of industry statistics in the Philippines.
