PSA officials led by OIC-Deputy National Statistician Fred S. Sollesta and OIC-Regional Director Nelida C. Amolar, along with Congresswoman Janette L. Garin and House Speaker Hon. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, participate in the ceremonial turnover ceremony during the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair. The ceremony saw the awarding of certificates of live births to beneficiaries of the Birth Registration Assistance Program and the issuance of PhilIDs to their recipients.

Guimbal, Iloilo — In a resounding display of commitment to public service, the Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office VI (PSA-RSSO VI) actively participated in the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) hosted at Guimbal National High School, Guimbal, Iloilo, from December 9 to 10, 2023. This collaborative effort brought together 53 government agencies, collectively offering over 160 programs and services aimed at streamlining access to essential information and resources for the community.

With an impressive turnout of 95,491 registered beneficiaries, the fair proved to be a remarkable success. The PSA, a key contributor to this initiative, delivered crucial services under the PhilSys and Civil Registry System programs.

Individuals seeking PhilSys services were able to participate in Step 2 Registration, receive ePhilIDs, request replacements for defective cards, and even update their demographic information on-site. Similarly, the Civil Registry System services offered by the PSA included mobile registration under the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP), issuance of SECPAs for various certificates, and counseling for issues related to vital documents.

The PSA’s involvement in the fair was demonstrably significant. Through PhilSys services, 173 individuals completed Step 2 Registration, 137 received replacements for defective PhilIDs, 453 obtained ePhilIDs, and 63 successfully updated their demographic information. Additionally, the CRS services catered to a total of 713 clients, with specific breakdowns highlighting the issuance of 593 SECPAs for birth certificates, 104 for marriage certificates, 5 for death certificates, and 11 for CENOMAR.

To further emphasize the importance of this initiative, OIC-Deputy National Statistician Fred S. Sollesta and OIC-Regional Director Nelida C. Amolar personally participated in a ceremonial turn-over activity on the first day of the fair, awarding birth certificates and issuing PhilIDs to multiple beneficiaries.

This successful participation in the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair serves as a testament to the government’s unwavering commitment to serving the Filipino people. By providing accurate and timely information, coupled with accessible services like PhilSys and CRS, the office continues to contribute significantly to the socioeconomic development and progress of the Philippines.
