The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Antique joined the 2024 SACADA Congress with the theme, “Pag-amlig sa pangabudlay; Respeto kag suporta sa mga SACADA” at Poblacion, Tibiao, Antique on 27 August 2024.

PSA Antique offered national ID registration and other services, facilitating easier access to government services and benefits.  Additionally, local government units (LGUs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) also offered services such as medical check-ups, legal aid, and educational support tailored to the needs of sacadas. These initiatives are crucial in ensuring that sacadas receive necessary assistance and can improve their living and working conditions.

This year’s congress was attended by sacadas from Tibiao, Culasi, Barbaza, and Laua-an, together with milling supervisors and partner agencies from the national to the provincial level.

The event aimed to educate and provide information for the protection and rights of the sacadas and their families, promote the welfare of both the sacadas and milling representatives, provide medical assistance and consultation between the sacadas and different concerned agencies.
