
Kalibo, Aklan – June 27, 2024. The Fixed Registration Center (FRC) of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Aklan is currently accepting correction or updating of the national ID with erroneous demographic information done during registration.
This service cover corrections of misspelled name, wrong entries of marital status, sex, date or place of birth, address, blood type, and any other clerical or typographical errors.
A client who sought correction of information in his/her national ID is required to submit the following requirements:
- For updating a name, sex, and date or place of birth-- the required document is
the original PSA or LCRO Birth Cerificate. - For changes in marital status-- PSA or certified true copy of the LCRO Marriage
Certificate - For correction of address-- Barangay Certificate or any document showing their
correct address such as UMID and Philhealth ID. - For updating blood type-- Blood typing result from health office.
Furthermore, the updating service also includes the recapturing of client’s biometrics, such as iris and/or fingerprint.
As of 07 May 2024, the pilot rolled out in Aklan, a total of 206 national IDs have been updated.
"Every registered person should be able to fully utilize their National IDs, ensuring that all information is accurate," said Engr. Antonet B. Catubuan, Chief Statistical Specialist.
She also said that this service is free of charge, they only need to do is visit our Fixed Registration Center and provide the necessary documents for updating.
An ePhilID will be issued once available after the updating process and a new PhilSys Car Number (PCN) will be assigned to the registrant. National IDs with incorrect data will be punched with a hole to indicate their invalidity.
