The Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) aims to accelerate the registration procedures for Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries during 4Ps Family Development Sessions (FDS). PhilSys will ensure that all 4Ps beneficiaries are registered and is properly verified and authenticated using the PhilSys database.
As of 31 June 2024, there were 46,443 authenticated Philsys Card Number (PCNs) and 8,489 4Ps beneficiaries and household members were registered during authentication in colocation activities in the Province of Antique.
Authentication is the process of verifying the identity of an individual against the registry information in the PhilSys or PhilID. For the FDS colocation activity, the PhilSys registration personnel performs biometric authentication using any of the registered beneficiaries' fingerprints.
PSA Antique PhilSys Teams were deployed in various municipalities and barangays to provide services to beneficiaries one (1) to four (4) years old and five (5) years old above who does not possess a PCN. This effort aims to guarantee comprehensive coverage of 4Ps beneficiaries in the PhilSys registry.
Additionally, this activity serves as an example of how the National ID will be used in the future to verify the identification of each Filipino in their transactions. This promotes improved efficiency and security across a various sector of society by streamlining the beneficiary authentication process and laying groundwork for broader applications of the National ID system.
