LAUA-AN, Antique — In line with the 32nd National Children's Month (NCM) celebration, themed "Break the Prevalence, End the Violence: Protecting Children, Creating a Safe Philippines!", the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Antique as one of the members of the Provincial Child-Friendly Movement Team (CFM) conducted ‘Rehistro Bulilit’ National ID Registration in Maria Elementary School, Laua-an, on 07 November.
Rehistro Bulilit seeks to increase the National ID registration turnout of children aged one to four years old and ensure that the younger generation also receives their own National ID, as mandated by Republic Act (RA) 11055 or the Philippine Identification System Act.

Moreover, the Department of Education provided dental check-ups and tooth extractions, while the Philippine National Police conducted a "Good Touch and Bad Touch" lecture under the Oplan Bambino child protection program. DepEd Antique, with support from the Laua-an district office, coordinated the gathering of pupils and community members. Local residents and officials also provided snacks.
This year’s NCM focuses on addressing Violence Against Children (VAC), a crucial concern in the country, which remains committed to the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). As outlined in the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights, all children deserve freedom from violence and exploitation, including protection from abuse, neglect, and harmful treatment.
