The Brgy in Buenavista with sample households were: Mclain (15 HHs) and Zaldivar (24 HHs) in Buenavista Municipality and (10HHs) each for Ayangan in Sibunag Municipality.
“The additional 5 HHs came from Brgy. Zaldivar with 3 respondents and 2 samples from Maclain,” Losare clarified.
Losare expounded that the additional 5 HHs were also considered as replacement which took place due to the addressee having permanently moved, vacant housing, and non-usual resident.
“Replacement also applied when addressee could not be located or a single person occupying the housing unit had passed away,” Losare said.
The LFS is a household survey that measures the country's current labor market and is also used for other purposes, such as calculating national and provincial employment and unemployment rates.
“It aims to provide a quantitative framework for plans and policy formulation affecting the labor market,” Losare said.
She further explained that LFS involves collecting labor and employment data, as well as gathering the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the labor force.
“This survey is considered essential for the labor welfare of every Filipino, likewise for the operation of the market-based economy,” Losare said.
Meanwhile, Losare appreciated the support of all the sample households who provided accurate and reliable data, assuring them of utmost confidentiality.
“The data will be used solely as a reference for the levels and trends of employment, unemployment, and underemployment in the province, and all information gathered are kept strictly confidential and shall not be used for taxation, investigation, or regulation as provided under Article 55 of Republic Act 10625,” Losare clarified. /PSA Guimaras
