Marriage is among the vital events monitored by the Philippine Statistics Authority generated through the Decentralized Vital Statistics System.

Marriages in the Province of Guimaras in 2024 totaled 602, reflecting an 11.47% decrease compared to the 680 marriages recorded in 2023.

Among the 680 marriages in 2024, the youngest bride was 15 years old, while the oldest bride was 77. Meanwhile, the youngest groom was 17 years old, and the oldest groom was 72.

In 2024, February recorded the highest number of marriages, with 149, while August saw the fewest, with only 25 marriages. Similarly in 2023, February had the most marriages, with 135, while August had the least, with just 29 couples wed.

In 2023, Buenavista was the leading contributor to the total number of marriages in Guimaras, accounting for 30.4%, or 183 registered marriages. It was followed by Jordan, with a 28.2% share, totaling 170 registered marriages.

On the other hand, Sibunag reported the fewest marriages, with 10.0%, or 60 marriages in 2024.

Of the five municipalities in Guimaras, only San Lorenzo recorded an increase in marriages, with a 1.37% rise—just one additional marriage, from 73 in 2023 to 74 in 2024.

Meanwhile, the largest decline was seen in Buenavista, which experienced a 19.74% decrease, dropping from 228 marriages in 2023 to just 183 in 2024.
