REGISTERED DEATHS RECORDED AT 1,344
The number of registered deaths showed steady trend for the past five (5) years which recorded a slight difference in every year, except on 2021 where the registered deaths expressively increased by 8.70 percent.

In a span of five (5) years, the deaths registered in Capiz increased by 4.51 percent from 1,286 to 1,344 in fourth quarter of 2019 and 2023, respectively.
TOTAL DEATHS AND PLACE OF OCCURRENCE
As shown in Figure 2 and Table 1, the number of deaths registered in the indicates a daily average occurrence of 15 deaths in the province every day.

As anticipated, Roxas City accounted the highest number of deaths with 527 or 39.21 percent, registering an increase of 2.47 percent from fourth quarter of 2022. It is followed by municipality of Pontevedra with 132 which decreased by 3.03 percent compared to the 2022 record. Sapian had the lowest number of deaths with only 27.

Only six of sixteen municipalities and sole city exhibited increases in deaths registered from the fourth quarter of 2022 and 2023. Notably, the municipality of Sigma recorded the highest decline with 31.21 percent.
Month of Occurrence
Figure 3 below indicates the death occurrences by month. November with 493 registered deaths took the top spot followed by December which registered 428.
As shown in Table 2, the month of October registered the lowest death occurrences with 423 or a daily average of about 13.65. Only November was above the daily index of the three months.
