Antique’s Economy Records a 2.5 Percent Increase 

in 2023

 

The economy of Antique grew by 2.5 percent in 2023 from its 2022 level, slower than the 8.7 percent growth in the previous year. This represents an increase in the value of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) from PhP 70.69 billion in 2022 to PhP 72.46 billion in 2023. (Figure 1)

Among the 16 production industries, the fastest growths were observed in Accommodation and food service activities at 35.8 percent, followed by Construction at 32.1 percent, and Other services at 25.2 percent. On the other hand, Agriculture, forestry, and fishing declined by 15.2 percent. (Figure 2)
