The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Iloilo Provincial Statistical Office (IPSO) has begun registering children 1 to 4 years old to the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) starting 14 February 2024 and has made notable progress since then. This is in accordance with the PSA’s organizational goal of providing an inclusive, secure, and sustainable national identification system.

PSA IPSO’s PhilSys Team has registered 5,031 children as of 30 April 2024. The accomplishment has been made through collaborative efforts in coordinating with the barangays and schools, and by conducting mobile registration on wheels. Children aged 1 to 4 can only be registered if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian already registered to PhilSys. The PhilSys Number (PSN) or permanent identification number of the child that will be generated will be linked to the accompanying parent or guardian. Furthermore, the parent/guardian must provide any supporting documents such as Certificate of Live Birth issued by the PSA or the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO); Report of Birth issued by the PSA or Philippine Foreign Service Post (PFSP); Certificate of Foundling issued by the PSA; Certificate of Foundling or Certificate of Live Birth or Persons with No Known Parent/s issued by the PSA; Municipal Form No. 102; Philippine Passport or ePassport issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA); or any document showing the full name of the child, date and place of birth, the full name of the mother, and the full name of the father, if acknowledged. Any of the said documents will be used to validate the child's demographic information.

For parents or guardians who wish to register their children, they may do so by visiting any PhilSys registration centers around the province.
