35th Civil Registration Month opening ceremony at GT 888 Mall, Bacolod City today, 07 February 2025.

07 FEBRUARY 2025 – NEGROS OCCIDENTAL. Today, 07 February 2025, the Philippine Statistics Authority – Negros Occidental officially welcomes the 35th Civil Registration Month an opening ceremony at GT 888 Mall Bacolod with the theme, “Building Resilient, Agile, and Future-fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics System.”

The event opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony headed by the Provincial Statistical Office of Negros Occidental represented by Supervising Statistical Specialist Diesah S. Biaoco, Registration Officer II Edwin P. Guiking, and Registration Officer I Annie M. Libo-on, together with Provincial Association of Civil Registrars in Negros Occidental, Inc. President, Rose S. Dalaguit. 

Biaoco welcomed the guests with an inspiration message, highlighting the significance of the Civil Registration Month to every Filipino in the nation. “Civil Registration is the foundation upon which the rights of every individual are recognized,” she underscores. 

This was then followed with back-to-back lectures on the Background of the Civil Registration and Civil Registration 101 by Libo-on and Guiking. These lectures formed part of the information dissemination of the PSA – Negros Occidental with regards to its civil registration services to further enlighten the audience, along with the public who joined the ceremony. 

Upcoming activities to be held during the 35th Civil Registration Month were recounted by Birth Registration Coordinator Lucille Ann A. Aliosa and the program ended with a closing remark from Dalaguit who expressed her gratitude for the solid partnership between the PACRINO, Inc. and PSA – Negros Occidental. 

Interim Regional Director of Regional Statistical Services Office – Negros Island Region, John F. Campomanes, says in an interview that he is also grateful for the unwavering support of the Local Government Units of Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, especially the steadfast presence of the Local Civil Registrars of Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, to the undertakings of the PSA.
