2019 Core Regional Indicators

Core Regional Indicators are composed of region-specific indicators that provide a readily available set of statistics useful to monitor progress and track the pace of development. This set of indicators support development planning, implementation, and monitoring of local programs and projects towards the attainment of regional goals in line with the Regional Development Plan (RDP) of Region VI. 

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Board has approved for adoption the Core Regional Indicators (CoRe-Is) through Resolution No. 10, series of 2017. The CoRe-Is is a set of indicators that aims to: a)  monitor the social, economic, political, cultural and environmental developments at the regional level; b) aid the government in understanding the needs of local communities; and c) enable  both the national and local governments make right policies, decisions and actions for development planning and policy formulation. The CoRe-Is will be used to develop the quarterly Regional Development Index (RDI) to complement the annual GRDP and will be monitored more frequently than the GRDP.
